about

loose ends is a collection of pieces made over the past two and a half years. improvised or created by accidental means on a variety of instruments, they are a good indication of where I’ve been and where I’m going. the common thread running through the pieces is that i made them simply, without fuss or forethought, and that they reflect an aesthetic i am working to refine. this truly is a collection of loose ends, ones that needed tying off before i could move on to other projects i seem to have gotten bogged down in. most everything else from this period will be scrubbed from my hard drive allowing me to hopefully begin anew, lighter and more open to the many possibilities clamoring for my attention. thank you for taking this long(over two hours!) and winding journey with me, i trust you’ll find something along the way worthy of your company.

about

Rick Tarquinio New Jersey

My music is created very simply using improvisation, chance procedures or accidental means. I also do a lot of field recording and sound experiments using natural forces to create sound. I used to be a singer/songwriter in a past life, but every caterpillar has its day...
